Leeks

Leeks are a good plant for our San Francisco climate. They can be slow to mature, but I consider them my steady eddies of the garden. I start them in flats by seed and then transplant them. We grew these lovelies in the vegetable area of the Home Garden at St. Anne's. I have several more in the Tower Garden. I'll use them for the second grade Fritrass recipe, and also to make several frittatas when we celebrate the end of year with the residents and the third grade.
